CONTRIBUTING TO THE MELANOMA EDUCATION FOUNDATION

The Melanoma Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Contributions are deductible from Federal income taxes to the maximum extent consistent with IRS regulations and individual taxpayer circumstances.

Your financial support provides free life-saving services to high school and middle school students and adults.
MEF has no fundraising salaries. There are several ways to contribute.


Direct Contributions

The Melanoma Education Foundation has been a NYRR official charity partner for the past 13 years

Our allocated spots for the 2024 NYC Marathon have been filled and
our waiting list submitted to request additional runners is full.

We have begun enlisting runners for the 2025 marathon.

If you would like to run the 2025 NYC Marathon, with your deposit fully refunded
if you later gain entry through the NYRR lottery,

Thrre is zero obligation or pressure.

If you decide to run in 2025 our fundraising requirement will be the minimum
mandated by NYRR ($3000 in 2024).
Runner 10% deposits count toward their fundraising goals;
matching corporate contributions from runners and contributors also count toward the goals.

We reimburse NYRR runner registration fees ($315 in 2024) for all of our runners.
We pay for NYRR-endorsed online custom training programs for f irst-time marathoners, provide
free fundraisng pages where runner's supporters can contribute, and complimentary pro-running shirts.

Workplace payroll deduction via America's Charities

The Melanoma Education Foundation is designated to receive workplace payroll deductions
if your company is enrolled in America's Charities. Click here for more information.

Benevity Causes also provides services for corporate and employee giving.

Corporate Matching Contributions

Many companies have matching gift programs that double the support received from employees.
