Our Vision: Creating a melanoma-free world through education.

Our Mission: Inspiring people to implement life-long habits for self-detection and prevention of skin cancer.

The Melanoma Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization devoted to saving lives from melanoma, a common skin cancer that is often deadly unless detected early before there are any symptoms. The Foundation increases awareness of melanoma three ways:

  • Educates middle and high school health teachers and provides them with free online classroom lessons for their students.
  • Provides complete information about early self-detection and prevention of melanoma in a user-friendly website.

  • Rotary Club Zoom presentations to clubs in Eastern and Atlantic time zones.

At last count, the Melanoma Lessons were being taught in over 1,700 schools in all 50 states. Read about their impact >

If this is your first visit, watch the video Early Self-Detection and Prevention of Melanoma at the top of the page. Then, if you want to dive deeper, click the NEXT button below for information on how to use the site.
